These drawings are from animated pieces for the documentary series We Shall Remain, which portrays the history of Native Americans in the United States.  Plains Indian ledger drawings served as inspiration to provide a better understanding of Dennis Banks’ residential school experience. Produced by Acme Filmworks.

The NFB cafeteria was a great place to for filmmakers to eat, socialize, and exchange ideas. On the occasion of the NFB’s big move to its new downtown offices, I illustrated some anecdotes about the cafeteria from my early filmmaking days at the NFB.
